She trimmed the bangs, removed a little of bulkiness on the sides then sent me to the hairdresser next door who did a fabulous job trimming the definite style I wanted. Melinda even came to assist the hair dresser to make sure she did exactly what I wanted. That's an extra hour of her time to help do the right styling to achieve exactly what I have always dreamed of for my hair. I made my appointment and met the most amazing person, Melinda, the owner, who understands hair loss and how to make a person feel comfortable getting a topper or a wig. She found a wonderful natural-hair topper that matched the color of my remaining hair. She went with me to the hair stylist to shape the topper to mingle with my hair. Before I met Melinda, I did not want a wig. However, Melinda made this topper a beautiful extension of me and it has made me look years younger. It is so comfortable that I forget that I am wearing it. My friends and family are astonished at how natural it looks. I am so thankful I did this, and so thankful that Melinda could show me the way! .

I started to lose my hair quite quickly which caused me to experience a loss in confidence but also desperate to find a solution. I tried everything to combat the hair loss but to no avail. I went to my hair dresser to discuss extensions but, to her credit, was advised until I knew why my hair was falling out that it was a waste of my money as it would be too heavy on my already fragile hair. As you can imagine, I was devastated and self conscious. After much research I found Intimate AffHairs and Melinda. I sent an email and she answered me within the hour. She said she too had experienced hair loss and tried everything which made me feel less alone and like I had hope. She set up an appointment with me extremely quickly. She was compassionate, honest and helped me find something that was the right fit for me. She helped with how to care for my purchase so that it would look great and would last long. She also assisted me with how to best style and wear my topper. I have had a few questions since my purchase and she has answered me right away. She also offered to have me come in so she could see how my topper was holding up, if I was caring for it properly and if I was wearing it so that it wasn’t noticeable. Melinda knew instantly what would work for me. Then better still she came with me to her hairdresser just a block away and sat with me and helped style my new hair.

1 month in and we are in the road camping in Arizona I was a bit concerned about caring for my new hair so purchased a canvas head. This is working well. I thought I might get too hot in my hair but no… I forget I’m wearing it until I glance in a mirror. I honestly feel a good 10 years younger with my new hair. I am 62.

Melinda immediately made me feel comfortable, let me cry, listened to my concerns, reviewed my options, and showed me pieces that matched me perfectly!! I left feeling like a normal woman again. The emotional support is amazing!! I love her laughter and lightness, caring, and compassion! Melinda gave me definitely gave me my confidence back. Unfortunately my alopecia progressed and I needed a different solution. Melinda again, made herself available immediately and had me on my way once again. I was totally impressed with Melinda’s thorough knowledge of toppers and wigs. She found a topper to match my colour and cover up the very thin spot on the top of my head. I did not expect to receive a response back since her boutique is closed that day. However, she did responded back and I explained her my situation and without further discussion she told me she can meet us that day. She welcomed us in her boutique so warmly and answered all our questions, since she did not have the product we are looking for she unselfishly directed us to the stores she knows around. This act shows how her business ethics are and how supportive she is towards other "competing" business. There are few business owners that amazed me with their kindness and exquisite service and she is definitely one of those! Thank you Melinda for your compassionate service. Melinda's respect, compassion and generosity of spirit has been amazing. The quality of the hair system (nano skin) is the next best thing to my own hair. Melinda has been willing to take my phone calls about washing my hair and has scheduled an appointment with me, to service the system at no cost, so I can learn how to do it for myself. For the first time since using hair replacements I can feel the outside temperatures. on my scalp. It moves like my own hair and is definitely the next best thing.

I bought a 'topper' from another company and it looked fine, but people noticed and it didn't feel natural, so I was reluctant to wear it. I found Melinda on the web site and decided to give her a try since all the reviews were so positive. (Thank you reviewers!). Melinda made me feel comfortable immediately and Gio (her little dog) was equally welcoming. She custom fit me for the Nano Skin System in a private setting and I am thrilled with the results. The hair was a perfect match to my current colour, and I mean PERFECT. It's light, comfortable and secure and it looks so natural even my adult children didn't notice I was wearing it. My son said "Your hair looks nice Mom".
It looks exactly like my hair before the hair loss started and I no longer have to check 10 times/day to make sure my scalp isn't showing when the wind blows. I will be going back for another one, a highlighted version for summer, and I won't be turning down activities or travel due to concerns about my hair. Thank you Melinda. You're the best!

Melinda made me feel very comfortable and allowed me to roam at my leisure, answering my questions and offering info when required. Once I decided on a few styles she explained my choices and fitted them offering her opinion. Melinda is a wealth of knowledge and a delight to deal with.
I can't recommend this business any higher and will return soon to add to my wardrobe.

All I can say is it was a bad experience. It was an extremely expensive wig, way beyond my budget and I was not informed of the the smaller hair pieces and less expensive ones.
My new wig is absolutely beautiful and so natural, just can't say enough about this place. The kindness , private room and patience that Melinda has, not to mention her cookies, chocolates and coffee.

I have shopped the other wig stores in Calgary, have ordered on line and have driven as far as Edmonton to purchase a great wig. Having found Intimate AffHairs here in Calgary was amazing. Melinda has such a great selection, great color selection and offers to order if she does not have in the color you need. The prices are well within line and some even less expensive than other stores I have gone to. The best is the experience. I came across a Hair system by Cesare Ragazzi (3D Printed Hair/CNC). I watched their videos and got really interested to try the system for myself.
I contacted Melinda Morante the owner of Intimate AffHairs whom offers the CNC hair system in Calgary. I first want to say a few words regarding Melinda. She very knowledgeable and professional and the kindest person I have ever met. She truly is here to help people with all their hair issues and always there for her clients. I’m blessed to know her.
As for CNC hair system, I have been wearing the system for 3 months now, I’m pleased to say it was the best decision I have ever made!! My hair, well I call it my hair because it just feels that real! It has bounce and moves like a hair should. No more shedding, tangling and matted hair! I feel free to do whatever I like to do;,my hair doesn’t hold me back anymore.
If you are in the same situation as I was, frustrated with empty promises from other companies, please do yourself a favor and call Intimate AffHairs and speak to Melinda I promise you won’t regret your decision.
